I joined Jess's yoga classes two years ago at Berry Lane Park and I'm so glad that I did. On the first day, I knew I had found something good.
Jess took the time to welcome me and get to know me. She knows all of her students by name, creating a community feeling that is personalized and intentional. The space that she creates is truly special. It is a community - not just any other yoga class!
Jess's classes are challenging both physically and mentally. She challenges me to do new poses without fear, providing support along the way. Thanks to her, I can now confidently do wheel, half moon, standing split, warrior three, and more. I am always perfectly sore afterwards. She offers reflections and prompts throughout class, and occasionally a meditation. Not only that, but she crafts a quality environment to enhance calm and reflection, with the best music and aromatherapy elements.
I am currently participating in the class series on Thursdays at Greyscale Studios. The intention behind this series is just what I need - a dedicated date and time with incentive to show up every week. I am motivated to be consistent with my participation - both for myself, and to continue to engage in community and have the opportunity to participate in future offerings.
Thank you Jess for bringing such a meaningful space and community to our Jersey City neighborhood!

I’ve taken many yoga classes with many instructors and truthfully, none compare to Jessica’s intentionality and aura. Sure, the poses are and postures are always there, but what stands out the most is the emphasis on the breath first, alongside the discipline, consistency, and intention that fuel each movement or moment of rest. I always close out class feeling so grounded, connected to the people around me, and an essence of “floating”. Just take 1 class & you’ll feel it too. Xx
